Last night I took my Diphenhydramine and Zopiclona tablets, went to bed at 10pm, fell asleep quickly, finally waking/getting up at 5:30.
Teresa quickly made me breakfast before leaving for the gym
which allowed me to leave for my gym at 7am. I stepped outside and there was a
light drizzle. (It’s one thing to come home in a drizzle but its another to go
to the gym with its air conditioning and I’m all wet.) I returned to bed, set a
timer for an hour and quickly fell asleep. The alarm woke me I dressed and
headed out for the gym at 8am. As soon as I reached Ave Poblado a Colombian
asked me where clinica Las Americas is. I told him (in Spanish) the next corner
and across the street. I found Smartfit busier than usual and had to
wait several times to use various weight machines. Today I completed 13 minutes
on the treadmill, with no incline, and a maximum pulse rate of 127bpm. (Later
when I discussed this with ChatGPT we decided we will continue this same
workout on Friday.)
Breaking news: Annie James slept through the night for the
first time.
Well, six hours at least. 😊
I had a latte for about 90 minutes in Ganso y Castor
before returning to the apt.
Teresa informed me a compañera (companion?) died so there
won’t be a crafts class today. I suggested we go to Exito and purchase a
new washing machine but she wants to wait and see if there’s going to be a mass
for her.
I lost a game to Troyclough lowering my rating to 1540.
(Best not to play chess on no sleep!) More losses pending. ☹
Teresa talked to Kelly and I it looks like she’s going to
take our old washing machine and our ceramic planter that we used to keep on
the balcony.
I read that Medellin TV will be moving to a different
delivery system than the Amazon Firestick. I tried setting up an account with
Walmart but got the error message, “Unfortunately, we can't create your
account.” I tried using a VPN and also a different browser (chrome) with the
same result. ☹ I’ll ask Marcos if he can
bring back the new hardware I need.
Teresa told me Kelly will be coming at 4:30 to give her a
massage.
We both had a short nap after lunch.
I left the apt at 2:30 and had a latte in Los Porteños.
I stopped in Ara on the way back to the apt and bought 2 bottles of
liquid laundry detergent and 2 containers of dish washing soap and a bag of
milk. The total of those purchases was 20,000 pesos, about $5.25.
Teresa informed me that Kelly won’t be coming after all.
I started looking at the Simplified Chess Improvement System
lesson that was an upgrade of Next Level Training that I haven’t addressed in
some time.
We had a little rain in the evening.
I watched another episode of The Diplomat then
switched to MSNBC news.
