Lsast night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly but got up at 2am, 5am, and 6:15, finally getting up at 8am.

I watched the first 20 minutes of the Today show and left for the gym.  I didn’t see Marcos today but I completed all my exercises in 90 minutes.  Today I did my monthly weigh-in and I’m 77.9 kilos or 171.7#.

Among new US movie releases, I would like to see The Nightingale (6.4) and maybe Fast and Furious (7.3).

Locally, I would like to see King of Thieves (5.5) and Fast and Furious (7.3) is playing at the most screens in Viva Envigado.

Teresa and I took a nap from 2:30 to 3pm.

We left the apt at 3:30 and took a taxi to Bancolombia.  We didn’t have to wait to get a number – we went directly to the cashier who had been assisting me.  Teresa talked to him for awhile and then he asked us to take a seat.  An hour later Teresa and I went back to the counter.  At that time I only understood that there was a computer system problem.  Later Teresa told me that someone else has the same National ID card number as mine so they have to untangle this problem.  He said it should be fixed by the time I return next month.

We walked to several ATMs to get cash and finally I withdrew enough from Servibanca to pay for the apt and my health insurance.

Back at Bancolombia the machine I usually use to pay my bills asked me to deposit the cash before it asked me how much I’m puting in so I didn’t use that one.  I went inside and waited in line for the opportunity to use the last machine.  There was a rep there who entered the numbers while I counted out the cash.  I’ll have to return on Monday to pay for Direct TV, the gym and the cellphones.

Outside we took a taxi to Parva where Teresa had a glass of oat milk and I had a café con leche and we shared a pastry filled with guyabana (sp?).  While there a young man came by with his tape player and sang a song looking for change.  When he looked at me I said that’s not my type of music.  I tried to ask Teresa if I was being rude but my cellphone translator didn’t seem to work at the moment.

It started raining lightly while we were there but soon stopped.  

After an hour a hostess (owner?) called an Uber car for us and he dropped us off at Antica Pizza.  We each had our usual slice of pizza then Teresa suggested we share another – bacon with vegetables – which we did.  While we were waiting for our pizza the same young man stopped by with the tape player and we made eye contact and we both laughed.  This time I gave him 1,000 pesos.

We were back at the apt by 8pm.  I quickly submitted a request to World Remit to refund the cash I had sent to myself but never received.

About 9pm it started raining pretty hard and was still raining when we went to bed.

Joke of the day

Sister Mary Ann, who worked for a home health agency, was out making her rounds visiting homebound patients when she ran out of gas. Fortunately, an Exxon station was just a block away. She walked to the station to borrow a gas can and buy some gas. 

The attendant told her that the only gas can he owned had been loaned out, but she could wait until it was returned.  Since Sister Mary Ann was on the way to see a patient, she decided not to wait, and walked back to her car. 
She looked for something in her car that she could fill with gas, and spotted the bedpan she was taking to the patient. Always resourceful, Sister Mary Ann carried the bedpan to the station, filled it with gasoline, and carried the full bedpan back to her car. 

As she was pouring the gas into her tank, two Baptist ladies watched from across the street. One of them turned to the other and said, 'If it starts, I'm turning Catholic.'
