Last night I went to bed at 10pm, got up twice during the night, finally waking/getting up at 7am.
Opening today in Cine Colombia is Superman: The
Christopher Reeve Story (8.5) playing at 1:30 and 4:05. I might see it
tomorrow afternoon.
At 4:32 this morning my envelope arrived in Rionegro.
My envelope arrived in Miami at 7:10pm last night.
I met Marcos at Tostao at 9am and we chatted about
politics, football, and IKEA. He left at 9:30 and I confirmed Peccato was
not open so I just returned to the apt.
At 2pm it was only 82 degrees but this time I at least had a
t-shirt with sleeves with my shorts as I left the apt. After a 5-minute wait at
the bus stop I was on a Sabaneta bus for 3,200 pesos. By the time I walked to
the other end of the bus and took a seat, I saw raindrops on the windshield and
people with umbrellas. ☹
As I got close to my stop a woman hit the buzzer but the
driver didn’t stop at the next bus stop but went on to the next. I didn’t want
to have to walk up a hill so I got off a block and a half before my usual stop.
In the bookstore I exchange my Truman hardback for the New York Times
Bestseller Code Girls by Liza Mundy. I saw the movie now I’ll read the
book. The girl charged me 4mil for the exchange and I mentioned that maybe she
should give me 4mil because my book is so much larger. As I was leaving she
called me back and gave me back 1mil.
There were only occasional raindrops on the 11-block walk
back to Calle la Buena Mesa but I could feel myself leaking quite a bit. A stop
in Los Portenos’ restroom confirmed my pad was very wet and so was part
of my underwear. ☹ I
had a latte there finally leaving at 4pm and returning to the apt.
The guy who rents our parking space stopped by and gave me
160mil for October and November.
Terresa reminded me she’ll be on a day trip tomorrow to
Santafe de Antioquia and will be picked up at 6am.
Before I went to bed I turned the freezer ice maker function
off and set the cube tray in the utility sink to defrost.
