I got up once during the night, finally waking/getting up at
8am.
At the gym I completed all my exercises in about an hour and
20 minutes. As I was getting my things
out of my locker the power went out.
Outside I walked down the escalator to the 3rd level and by
the time I got to the “recycling machine” the power was back on. I put my water bottle into the machine and it
gave me a coupon good for a 6mil discount to Sarku’s.
Back at the apt I took my shower and after lunch we took a
30-minute nap.
We left the apt at 3:30 and took a taxi to Mayorista where
we bought mainly vegetables and meat. I
did buy a can of Van Kamps Pork & Beans that I bought because at Pricesmart
you have to buy such a large number.
Today my step count was 8,580. My goal is to do between 7,000 and 10,000 each
day.
Joke of the day
Airman Jones was assigned to the induction
center where he was to advise new recruits about their government benefits,
especially their GI insurance.
It wasn't long before Captain Smith
noticed that Airman Jones had almost a 100% record for insurance sales, which
had never happened before.
Rather than ask about this, the
Captain stood in the back of the room and listened to Jones's sales pitch.
Jones explained the basics of the GI
Insurance to the new recruits, and then said: "If you have GI Insurance
and go into battle and are killed, the government has to pay $200,000 to your
beneficiaries. If you don't have GI insurance, and you go into battle and get
killed, the government has to pay only a maximum of $6000."
"Now," he concluded,
"which group do you think they are going to send into battle first?"
