Last night I went to bed at 10, got up once during the night, finally waking/getting up at 5am.
Expat: do you have any recommendations for travel health
insurance?
After breakfast I laid down to rest for a bit but couldn’t
fall asleep.
I left at 9am and met Marcos at Tostao café where we
had café con leches. I told him about our Chicago trip and he suggested I ask
one of my kids to add me to their auto insurance for a month. He also told me
Johanna is now on a weight loss drug. He left at 10am and I moved to Peccato
where I had a latte. At 11am I left and stopped in Mercado Madrid where
I bought a few things before returning to the apt.
I left the apt at 2pm and walked to the mall. Stanley has their own booth selling those drink containers that have become so popular in the US.
I went up to Banco Sudameris where I withdrew 2,000,000
pesos, all 100s, from their Servibanca ATM. I stopped in Decathlon
looking for carabiners to assist with our trip but the only ones they had were
for hiking. I went down to Urbania where I had a latte while doing some
chess puzzles.
I noticed this new furniture store, Ambiente,
I remember seeing one in El Tesoro and they have a café/restaurant
I’ll have to try.
I left at 4pm, bought 3 limes in Exito that Teresa requested
and returned to the apt by taxi.
I watched another episode of Squid Game while Teresa was
getting a massage from Kelly.
I finished reading Lee Child’s One Shot (Jack Reacher
#9), my first (free) library book. Now do I have to check it back in to free it
for someone else, or just let the 2-week time period expire? Perhaps the only
reason I read it so quickly was because I read some on the bus last Sunday.
EL ARROYO
Not without their issues but Assist Card has a Colombian site and a fairly wide range of coverage options, including those allowing any preexisting conditions. Not sure there are a lot of options for coverage outside of Colombia. Remember as well that while numbers like a $1 million in coverage sound huge its not hard to run up bills in the American system for say ER as you won’t qualify for any Health Company discounts and will therefore pay full tariff.
