I slept well until 3am but then couldn’t get back to
sleep. I started imagining (day
dreaming) going back in time and visiting my mother and father before I was
born. Trying to convince them who I was
and what I would tell them about the future: how the war ends, men on the moon,
The Pill, Viagra, 9/11, personal computers, the Internet, the iPod, iPad,
iWatch, what companies to buy stock in.
After Laura left about 7am I finally fell back asleep and we
both woke/got up at 10am.
Teresa talked to her mother and I understand they are trying
to find the lost money she sent to Laura.
On TV they showed video footage of people crossing the
middle of a street to wait for a bus in order to avoid going through the turnstyles. They saved 1,800 pesos but it showed a couple
getting hit by a bus.
Well, no electrician showed up this morning and when Teresa
tried to call him for some reason the call wouldn’t go through.
Teresa talked to her friend Ana and we are going to meet
tomorrow at 1pm in Plaza Mayor to see some type of exhibition for 18mil each.
At 2pm we heard thunder, no rain as yet, but Teresa removed
the clothes from the line anyway. At
2:34 we lost our electricity. Less than
one minute later it came back on. At
2:45 it started raining. It all stopped
by 3:30.
We finished watching Submerged (5.7) then we watched The Beach (6.6).
We tried calling Laura, then Jhon, then her friend Ana but
the phone system doesn’t seem to be working.
We started watching Seeking
a Friend for the End of the World (6.7) but it was slow so we switched to
regular TV.
Finally at 9:30 I noticed the Sim card in my cell phone said “Emergency”
instead of “Claro”. We had dropped the
phone and put it back together but we were pretty sure we called Ana after
that. After several times repositioning
the battery we finally got it to work.
I took my sleeping pills at 11:15 and we went to bed at
11:30.
T-shirt of the day: Beauty attracts the eyes, personality
captures the heart.
