Happy Labor Day!
I got up once at 6, finally waking/getting up at 8:40.
No blood in my shorts today so I guess I’m over that and
won’t have to mention it again.
I was looking for which US state is similar in size to Colombia
and I found this: If Colombia were
your home instead of The United States you would …
·
be 8.4 times more likely to be murdered
·
be 32.88% more likely to be unemployed
·
make 78.98% less money
·
be 2.4 times more likely to die in infancy
·
die 4.31 years sooner
·
spend 94.04% less money on health care
·
use 91.96% less electricity
·
consume 89.51 less oil
·
be 66.05% less likely to be in prison
·
experience 24.22% more of a class divide
·
be 16.67% less likely to have HIV/AIDS
·
have 24.66% more babies.

Btw, Colombia
is 440,800 square miles. In comparison, Texas is 268,820 and California
is 163,696, so the two together just about equal the size of Colombia.
I watched 1947’s The
Paradine Case (6.5) starring Gregory Peck, Charles Laughton, Ethel
Barrymore, Louis Jourdan, and Leo G. Carroll.
Laura left at 2:45 for Caldas to get a new Cedula.
Teresa took a nap from 3:15 to 4pm.
I watched 1948’s Rope
(8.0) starring Jimmy Stewart. This is
the first Hitchcock movie in color.
Laura came back at 7:30.
I understand she has to go back again tomorrow to pick up her new
Cedula.
I gave up watching 1949’s Under Capricorn (6.2) starring Ingrid Bergman and Joseph Cotten.
I took my sleeping pills at 10:45pm and went to bed.
T-shirt of the day: It’s all for fun until somebody loses an
eye.
