When we went to bed last night we heard music, talking, and laughing for about an hour.  Then I heard a dog barking and whining for about an hour.

At 6:15 in the morning I was awakened by the sound of a leaf blower.

The Colombian Peso closed at 3,167 to the Dollar.

At 9am we made a trip to Euro in Mayorista where we bought more food.  While sitting in their café drinking a cup of coffee I saw on TV that Fidel Castro had died at the age of 90.  I also saw the same gringo I saw there last time we visited.  He said the gringos meet at a place called La Titoria (sp?) near the Subway restaurant.

I've decided to spend an hour each day on Chess Magnet School.com in preparation for the late December chess tournament.  I started today as a Yeoman.

In the afternoon 3 guys came by and delivered the new cushions for the couch and chairs that Teresa ordered.  They cost 600,000 COP (about $200).

Teresa started putting up Christmas decorations that she had stored in our extra closet.

At 4pm Teresa and her mother left to look for a TV table at the antique stores in Envigado.

She came back a few hours later and told me it was closed so they visited her sister Cecilia who has moved from Caldas to Envigado.

We left the apt about 6:30 and walked through the park next to the library.  The park was decorated with colorful lights and they had booths set up selling food and knicknacks.  Unfortunately, it was so cool there was almost no one there.

At Bocados Bar we had a delicious dinner of chicken shish kebab with French fries, tomato and avocado slices and fresh mango juice.

By the time we got back to the apt we could hear music playing nearby.  When we went to bed about 11:30 we could still hear music, talking and laughter nearby.

T-shirt of the day: I don’t care.
