I got up once during the night, again at 6:30am finally
waking/getting up at 8am.
I left the apt just before 10am. This time instead of walking up the hill past
La Buena Mesa I went a back way that took me up to Avenida Poblado between
Doble Pizza and a small grocery store. I
walked across the street and soon caught an Envigado bus.
Traffic was heavy but I eventually got off by Parque
Poblado.
In Envios Market I
picked up my November Chess Life
magazine, 4 envelopes from BSI Financial (all garbage now) and a package of 4
supplement bottles from GNC that I
had to pay an extra 15,400 pesos for.
I took a bus up to the large Starbucks where I had a small cold café mocha blanco. Today it wasn’t very busy and I easily got a
table outside.
Across the street I waited 5 minutes outside Oviedo for an
Envigado bus back to the apt.
I called my brother and gave him an update on what’s been
happening here – regarding Teresa’s breast cancer.
After that I called my daughter and updated her on
everything that’s been going on here – new apt, my new visa, Laura’s au pair
and Teresa’s breast cancer.
About 3pm it started raining lightly and continued the rest
of the afternoon finally ending about 6:30pm.
About 8:30 Laura decided she wanted to see a Netflix movie. I logged into my account and she spent about
half an hour searching and finally came up with Carol (7.2). Per IMDB.com it
appears to be a chick flick but I agreed.
Not only was it a chick flick, the chicks were lesbians. During the sex scene I gave Laura a hard time
about her choice of movie. Lol.
By the time the movie was over it was 11:15.
Joke of the day
This
happened at a New York
Airport . An award should go to the United Airlines
gate agent in New York
for being smart and funny, while making her point, when confronted with a
passenger who probably deserved to fly as cargo. For all of you out there who
have had to deal with an irate customer, this one’s for you.
A crowded United Airlines flight was canceled. A single agent was re-booking a long line of inconvenienced travelers.
Suddenly, an angry passenger pushed his way to the desk. He slapped his ticket on the counter and said, "I HAVE to be on this flight and it has to be FIRST CLASS."
The agent replied, "I'm sorry, sir. I'll be happy to try
to help you, but I've got to help these folks first; and then I'm
sure we'll be able to work something out."
The passenger was unimpressed. He asked loudly, so that
the passengers behind him could hear, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?"
Without hesitating, the agent smiled and grabbed her
public address microphone. "May I have your attention, please?", she began, her voice heard clearly throughout the terminal. "We have a passenger here at Gate 14 WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him with his identity, please come to Gate 14".
With the folks behind him in line laughing hysterically,
the man glared at the United Airlines agent, gritted his teeth, and said, "F*** You!"
Without flinching, she smiled and said, "I'm sorry sir,
you'll have to get in line for that, too."

Sorry to hear about Teresa's cancer. I hope she treats it and recovers soon. We don't know her personally, but we like her. It is gonna be a rough time for all of you but once is over you all 3 will be stronger and more united than ever. Big hug.
