Self-isolation Day 94.

Last night I went to bed at 10:30, got up twice during the night, finally waking/getting up at 7:30.

Today is Juneteenth? It’s also Dia sin IVA (day without paying sales tax) here.

Last night I played 5 games on Chess.com, winning 2 and losing 3. And one of the games I won I should have lost as he had the advantage the entire game and I only won on time with 2.5 seconds remaining. Now my rating is 1323.

Per Medellin Guru:

In the 58 days from April 22 to June 18, a total of 81 percent of the coronavirus cases in Colombia were in the 16 cities of Barranquilla, Buenaventura, Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena, Galapa, Ituango, Leticia, Malambo, Medellín, Quibdó, San Andrés de Tumaco, Soacha, Soledad, Valledupar and Villavicencio.

On the lunchtime news they showed crowds (6-feet apart) waiting to get into the stores for the one-day bargains. Only problem is that once inside all social distancing seemed to be thrown out the window because of the crowds.

I had a 2-hour chess lesson from 2-4pm with Juan Castro. After, Teresa told me the doorman called as I have a package. I went downstairs and picked up my vitamins and supplements from GNC. That only took 16 days and they have yet to charge me for it.

Arizona, Texas and Florida are all reporting record-high single-day increases in COVID-19 cases, surpassing previous records set just a few days ago.

Since we started our parcheesi game count over again we are now tied 23-23.

Almost twice as many countries have reported a rise in new cases over the past two weeks as have reported declines, according to a New York Times database. On June 17, more new cases were reported in a single day worldwide than ever before: 166,099. The increase has been driven by emerging hot spots in Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. More than a quarter of all known deaths have been in the United States

A Trump replay from March 22nd: Six days after calling for a 15-day period of distancing, Trump tweets: “WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF. AT THE END OF THE 15 DAY PERIOD, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO!”

The US has 2,170,258 ð 2,201,399 ð 2,228,733 coronavirus cases with 117,680  ð 118,458 ð 119,100 deaths.

Per Medellin Guru, as of this afternoon Colombia has a total of 57,046 ð 60,217  ð 63,276 cases with 2,045 deaths.  Medellin has 977 ð 1,040 ð 1,136 cases, an increase of 96 from June 18th to 19th. Colombia’s rolling 6-day average of new cases is continues to increase. Medellin is now included in the 15 cities with the most increasing cases. Envigado has a total of 56 cases, an increase of 3 from June 18th to 19th.
