Last night I went to bed at 10pm, got up once during the night, finally waking/getting up at 6:30.

I see my Social Security deposit in my USAA account. 😊

I’m getting tired of all these websites that now use 2-step verification EVERY TIME I LOG ON.

Teresa just found out she can stay as long as 6 months on her US Visitor Visa. I think this is just in case of an emergency if Laura gets sick or something.

I left the apt at 9am, paid the DirecTV bill of 199,090 pesos (I thought it was going to be 175,700; is it more now each month or does this include a service charge for our home visit?) in Gana, and took a seat in Eduardo Madrid. I worked on solving a few more chess puzzles. A guy came by selling strawberries and I bought a small bag for 20mil. I paid 33,600 pesos for the latte and my 10 English muffins. They listed the English muffins as “pancito ingles” on the receipt and they cost 25mil. (What I didn’t like is they were in 2 clamshell plastic containers, maybe because I didn’t pick them up yesterday?) I left at 10:30 and returned to the apt.

I put the 8-pack clamshell in the freezer and the 2-pack clamshell in the refrigerator.

I reserved the basement Apartment in Des Plaines with Airbnb for a total of $2019.43 for the 30 days (or is it 30 nights?) and I have 48 hours to cancel. That works out to $67 a day/night and I now have their exact address. I noticed they had the arrival date set for Sunday, June 15th instead of Monday, June 16th so I asked the host to change it.

One of the hosts’ rules is not to put toilet paper in the toilet because the plumbing is old 😊 and that’s after I made a special point of telling Teresa that toilet paper goes in the toilet in America.

Teresa told me we can retire in Denmark if we have 10,000 euros (a month? in assets? as an investment?). She has no idea the cold she would be getting herself into; she must think every place is like Colombia.

Teresa has a 1pm appointment for a massage from Kelly. I left the apt at 1pm and had a latte in Los Portenos while reorganizing my Chicago trip notes.

I tried logging into Airbnb from my cellphone and got this stupid “let’s prove you’re not a robot” puzzle.

No thanks, I’m not playing that game.

I left at 3pm and returned to the apt.

Some guy in our building is running a repair business out of his garage storage area. Last week he assembled a Mr. Beef BBQ grill and today he’s working on a motor scooter.

Airbnb wants to charge me $72.31 more for one less day? I asked the host to change the arrival back to Sunday, June 15th, maybe we’ll arrive a day earlier. I checked and Budget and AT&T are both open Sundays and Omega (restaurant) is open 24 hours so I think we would be okay with arriving on Sunday.

Teresa informed me she wants us to go to Mass tomorrow in San Peregrino on our way to La Ceja where we’ll have lunch.

I watched The Menu (7.2) followed by Queen & Slim (7.1) on Netflix.

I finished reading Lee Child’s The Hard Way (Jack Reacher #10) on my Kindle.
