It’s Christmas Eve.
Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep
quickly, got up once at 5am, finally waking/getting up at 7:45.
At 4pm it started raining.
I had my 2-hour chess lesson with Juan Carlos from
2:20 to 4:20.
Now Teresa doesn’t want to go for dinner because: 1)
It’s still raining (although lightly). 2) She’s full from lunch (is that my
fault? I warned her not to eat a lot).
I googled Brooklyn RL’s phone number and Whatsapp’d asking
if I could get the 2 meals to go. He agreed so I walked over there and brought
back our 2 meals.
We waited until about 6pm and heated them in the microwave
and of course they weren’t as good as when they were fresh. Teresa still loved
the turkey though. I enjoyed that with the vegetables and my Arnold Palmer (lemonade
and iced tea). We saved the dessert for another day.

Joke of
the day
Ol' Fred was in the
hospital, badly ill. The family called his personal physician and best friend
to stand with them. As his best friend stood next to the bed, Ol' Fred's
condition appeared to deteriorate and he motioned frantically for something to
write on.
His friend lovingly handed him a pen and a piece
of paper, and Ol' Fred used his last bit of energy to scribble a note, then
immediately after, died. The friend, in his grief, put the note in his
wallet and forgot about it.
2 days later, at the funeral, as he was finishing
a speech about the life of his best friend Fred, he realized that he still had
the note.
He said, "You know, Ol' Fred handed me a note just before he died. I haven't
looked at it, but knowing Fred, I'm sure there's a word of inspiration there
for us all."
He opened the note and read: “You’re standing on
my oxygen tube!”
