Last night I went to bed at 10pm (still raining), fell asleep quickly, got up once at 11:30, finally waking/getting up at 5:30 but Fitbit says I only slept 4 hours and 19 minutes. ☹
I left the apt at 8:15 and walked to Sao Paulo Plaza. In Olivenza
I ordered calentao with scrambled eggs and a latte. Glenn with Bianca
arrived a few minutes later. His cardiologist gave him some new medicine. He
asked me to see if Pricemart had a particular brand of cottage cheese.
He left at 10:30 and I left soon after. I stopped in Be
Good and bought a container of kefir for 30,000 pesos before returning to
the apt.
Teresa returned at 1pm with this dead bird she found in the
porteria.
If we were in the States I would say this is a Cardinal but
who knows what it’s called here.
We left at 2pm and took a Didi to El Correo for 12,400 pesos. Teresa had the chicken breast with a baked potato and a Coke and I had their ribs with BBQ sauce and fries and a Coke.
The total check was 227,150
pesos ($67) and I tipped our attentive waiter another 20,000 pesos. A man came
by selling something and I gave him the last 2 ribs that I had kept to-go.
We left at 3:45 and took a Didi to Pricesmart for
10,100 pesos.
We were both upset they didn’t have our turkey breast, the
main item we came for. Teresa found a pair of chair pads for 60mil, one as her
work chair and the other for my desk. They didn’t have my Canadian maple syrup
so I bought a large container of Mrs. Butterworth’s. At least they had
the Johnsonville breakfast sausage so I’ll have some protein on gym mornings. The
total came to 797,229 pesos ($216) and we returned to the apt by taxi for 16,000
pesos.
These are Teresa’s latest finished purses:
That Kefir is thick stuff; really difficult to get out of the
container.
I watched the end of the St. John vs Kansas basketball game that
preceded 60 Minutes, then some news, read some, and went to bed at 10pm.
