Again I’m up early – way too early.  I went to bed at 10:30 and got up twice during the night.  After the second time I couldn’t get back to sleep so I checked my watch and it was 4:15.  Why?  Is it because:

a)  I only had fruits and ice cream for dinner and my medicine needs more serious food?

b)  I had very tired eyes and a light headache so I took 2 Excedrin Migraine tablets just before going to bed?

I got up at 4:45, did my workout and took my shower.  Bunuelo Express doesn’t open until 8am so I had breakfast at the hotel at 7am.  I then spent about an hour trying to capture some more bus route information.  Then I went to Laureles Mall and studied some more chess.  I picked up my laundry (bedding and towels) from the laundry and about 9:30 I went back to the apartment and took a nap until about noon.

On my way back to Viva I was stopped on the street by a couple in a car looking for directions.  After my usual Spanish reply they started talking to me in English.  The man said they are from Norway and it sounded like that type of accent.

At 1pm I had Chicken Teriyaki at Sarku’s.  I had a coupon but they are having their 9,900 special again so I just went with that.   

Back at Laureles Mall, Dario showed up about 2:15 and we played a couple of games until 4pm.  He was killing me in both games but he finally made a mistake in the 2^nd and I mated him just before he was about to finish me off.

I think I found one more thing that was stolen from me.  I had a small set of binoculars I can’t find now.

I finally have an agreement with the owner of the apartment.  I have given my word I will stay in the apartment for the next 6 months but I only have to pay the next 3 months in advance.  My brother is going to loan me the $2000 so I can send Margarita Montez a check on August 1^st and I’ll pay my brother back 1/3 each month as soon as my Social Security money has been deposited.  After that she will accept monthly payments.  She clarified that the actual payment amount is 1,300,000 Colombian Pesos a month which, divided by the current rate of 1876/1$, comes to $692.26 x 3 months = $2,078.88.

Beatriz is coming over at 7pm tonight to give me a pedicure so I guess I’ll be missing the big soccer game tonight.
