Self-isolation Day 67.


Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly, got up twice during the night, finally waking at 6am and getting up at 6:30.


At least here in Colombia, more men die from the coronavirus than women (although its pretty close). Maybe more men die from it because more men catch it. Maybe more men catch it because women do a better job of washing their hands. And they spend a good part of the day washing – clothes, dishes, bathrooms, etc

At 6:45 Teresa called Antica Pizza and ordered 3 slices to be delivered.



Earlier this week, Donald Trump completely made up a poll number that showed his approval rating at 96 percent among Republicans. Trump tweet today “Who are the 4%? A RINO or two!” In reality, the latest Fox News poll shows Trump’s approval rating at about 85 percent among Republican voters.



The US could finally be free of the coronavirus in late September, and the whole world can expect to put the pandemic behind them in December, says a group of scientists in Singapore.



The metropolitan D.C. area has the highest rate of positive COVID-19 tests in the United States, a key metric in determining whether a jurisdiction is ready to reopen, according to White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx.



According to The Wall Street Journal, “President Trump is considering establishing a panel to review complaints of anticonservative bias on social media … in a move that would likely draw pushback from technology companies and others.”



Medellin Guru had more information about the 3 shopping centers that will be opening on Monday. The first is Oviedo on the Gold Mile, the 2nd is La Frontera which might be the little strip mall on the border of Envigado and Poblado, and the 3rd is Gran Plaza in near downtown. This is a pilot for the reopening of the other malls in Medellin. Their food courts and restaurants will remain closed.
