Self-isolation Day 53.

Last night I went to bed at 10:45, got up once during the night, finally waking/getting up at 7:45.

Teresa left at 11:30 for her 12:30 doctor’s appointment.  She returned at 1:45. All is good.

Very unusual day, weather wise, as we have a little breeze this afternoon.  Usually it’s very still.

Well, Teresa crushed me in several parcheesi games again but I managed to take the last game.

The Washington Post reported that on Jan. 22, weeks before the crisis sent the government scrambling for N95 masks, Fort Worth, Texas manufacturer Prestige Ameritech offered to restart four mothballed production lines. Federal officials did not take the company up on it.

The heads of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are entering quarantine after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus.

I spent some time going through Youtube videos on ChessBase 15.

I’m also binging the series Designated Survivor on Netflix.

The US has 1,315,324 coronavirus cases with 78,718 deaths.

Per Medellin Guru, as of this afternoon Colombia has a total of 10,495 cases with 445 deaths.  Medellin has 301 cases, an increase of 1 from yesterday.

Joke of the day

A customer walks into the post office wanting to mail a package.

Postal clerk: “Two-day shipping will cost $1295 to get it there by Friday.”

Customer: Clearly looking to save a few bucks, said, “The package doesn’t have to get there til Saturday.  Is there any way to make that happen?”

Postal clerk: “Sure.  You can bring it back tomorrow.”
