Last night I went to bed at 10pm, took a little while to fall asleep, got up once during the night, finally waking/ getting up at 7:15.
Teresa returned from her gym class just as I got up.
I left the apt at 8:30 and found Smartfit less busy
than usual but my first machine is the Butterfly and two couples were taking
turns on both machines so I changed the usual order of my workout. When I was on
the treadmill I noticed both Butterfly machines were finally available.
I completed my workout and moved to Ganso y Castor
where I had a latte. I left at 10:45 and returned to the apt. Finally, blue
skies today. 😊
I left the apt at 1:45 and stopped at the Servientrega
office on Ave Las Vegas. I told the rep I never received my email (I’m pretty
sure they spelled my last name Andersen, same problem I had in the States) so
he sent it to me via Whatsapp.
I continued on to Peccato where I had a latte while
reviewing some chess notes.
I saw this American style motorcycle parked nearby:
You don’t see many of those here. A few minutes later I saw
the owner (a cigarette in his right hand)
After he finished his smoke, he drove away (not sure if you
can hear how loud his motorcycle was):
About 3:30 it started getting a little dark so I paid for my
latte and left. Just after I returned to our apt, I heard the thunder start but
luckily it didn’t develop into anything. (Teresa occasionally tells me about
flooding in Itagui or Sabaneta.)
Teresa waited a couple hours for Kelly but she didn’t show
and I don’t know if she even called.
Teresa wants us to take her mother to El Retiro Sunday for Mother’s
Day.
I got this great idea of downloading Movistar to my
Firestick so we wouldn’t depend on DirecTV but even with the help of ChatGPT I
couldn’t find the app.
I find it interesting, that “okay” or maybe “OK” is common
in Colombia as in the US. The other day an “okey dokey” slipped out and Teresa
reported hearing that from a doctor. So now occasionally I’ll say “okey dokey”.
Teresa informed me that the rainy season is over. Yeah, we’ll
see.
I watched the news in the evening (no rain) and went to bed
at 10pm.
FUNNY
