Last night I went to bed at 10:15, got up twice during the night, finally waking/getting up at 7:30am.
Today is a holiday here, it’s May Day.
Lawrence texted me just before 9am and we made plans to meet
this afternoon to play chess.
I left the apt at 9am and had a latte in Los Portenos
while going through 2 English opening books trying to figure something out. It
was very busy, usually is on a holiday, and at 11am a couple were waiting for a
table and there weren’t any available so I paid and left.
At 1:30 I took a Didi to Unicentro mall arriving at 2pm. It
felt quite cold by the windows so I set up the chessboard at an interior table.
Lawrence and his son joined me 10
minutes later.
Over the next 6 hours he won 4 games, I won 3 games and there
were 3 draws.
I left at 6:15 and returned to our complex by Didi.
I stopped in Ara and bought a bag of milk, package of Teresa’s
favorite arepas and a few red apples.
Teresa was at the dining room table working on another purse;
I think this one is for Laura’s girlfriend Vicky.
I finished reading Neal Bascomb’s The Winter Fortress,
the epic mission to sabotage Hitler’s atomic bomb.
I checked and I read 6 books last month.
FUNNY
