Last night I went to bed at 10:15, fell asleep quickly, got up once at 2:15, waking/getting up at 6:30.

According to my Fitbit, I got in 8,562 steps yesterday and last night I slept for 7 hours and 37 minutes for a sleep score of 79.

I talked to Glenn’s brother Peter 516 XXX XXXX and sister Carrie 917 XXX XXXX  CarrieXXXXXX@gmail.com in Florida. They already found a couple assisted care places here that Teresa and I will probably check out.

I texted Jose and gave him a heads up we might not be meeting tomorrow.

I left the apt at 8:45 and found Smartfit not very busy. I completed my workout including 18 minutes on the treadmill finishing with a heartbeat of 112 bpm.

I had a latte in Ganso y Castor (no ripe banana today) for about 90 minutes before returning to the apt.

Teresa was still out but we made plans to meet for lunch in La Bahia around 12:30 or 1pm then she’ll show me nearby assisted care houses.

I left the apt at 12:30 and took a Didi to La Bahia for 7,500 pesos. Teresa arrived about 5 minutes later. We had a nice lunch of the day for 22,000 pesos ($6) each.

Teresa took me literally around the corner to Casa de Bienestar which looked like it was closed.

We continued on to Reflejo Plateado, calle 32B Sur where we saw a house with about a dozen people sitting in chairs on an outside patio.

We went around the corner and sat at an umbrella table and a young man soon joined us. Teresa had a conversation and when it was my turn I asked, “Does anyone here speak English?” “No” which I understand is a deal breaker. I asked how many bedrooms – 20 with 15 bathrooms. I asked how much it costs and was told 3,800,000 pesos. I now understand that Glenn will need a “acudiente”, a “guardian”, someone who will take him to doctor’s appointments and pick up medicine for him.

When I finally got Teresa to leave I ordered a Didi to take us to a place that his brother and sister mentioned – Fizebad San Francisco Hills, Calle 36D sur #24-57 for 12,400 pesos.

I’m not certain what it was, it looked like a gated community of condos. The guard said something about airbnbs.

Across the street we caught a taxi to take us to Fika Café where we had drinks and pastries.

We left at 5pm and walked back to the apt.

I talked to Glenn and Juan is taking them (including Daniela) to a place he knows in La Estrella but I don’t have a lot of confidence it will be a nice place where they speak English. We’ll see. I was invited but Teresa doesn’t want me to waste my time going there. She’s a little miffed at me because she wants Glenn in a home close to us so its convenient for us to visit and be his guardian. But I don’t like the place she’s shown me, I certainly wouldn’t want to stay there unless I’m senseless.

I watched another episode of The Handmaid’s Tale then started my pre-sleep reading. I went to bed at my usual 10pm.
