Last night I went to bed at 10pm, fell asleep quickly, got up once at 3am, waking/getting up at 6am before my 6:30 alarm. One of my better nights before playing chess.

According to my Fitbit, I got in 7,331 steps yesterday and last night I slept for 6 hours and 58 minutes for a sleep score of 76.

I ordered my Didi and arrived at Unicentro mall 15 minutes early, enough time for 2 laps around the mall. I found the fruit cart and bought a banana with 20 50-peso coins. 😊

I met Jose upstairs in Parmessano and we had our usual scrambled egg casseroles with coffee.

We adjourned to the food court where we played two games of chess. The first game went 66 moves for a draw and we both can’t believe I missed an opportunity to take one of his rooks for free. The second game he pushed a lot of pawns at my king and I eventually resigned on move 48.

It was 1:30 when we finished and I ordered a Did to take me to Viva Envigado. I received messages from Juan that Glenn is happy with the assisted care place called Habitat Los Balsos, Calle 77 Sur #50A – 290, La Estrella, sector Suramérica and its 13,200,000 pesos a month.

I understand his brother Peter is going to help with the cost. Juan says there’s a gym and a pool. His moving day is supposed to be Friday and Teresa and eager to visit.

I had the granola with yogurt and acai berries in Pergamino. At one point a young lady sitting across from me freaked out when she accidentally kicked me under the table. I told her not to worry it wasn’t anything more than a love tap, which of course I had to translate for her. I don’t think it translated well. I went down to the banking area and withdrew 2 million pesos in mixed bills then went down another level and had a latte in Urbania for about an hour.

I left at 4pm and bought a large carton of eggs in Exito before returning to the apt by taxi. (I noticed a new shipment of navel oranges in Exito, packaged as 4 oranges in mesh bags.)

I watched another episode of The Handmaid’s Tale, some news then it was time for my pre-sleep reading.
