Last night I went to bed at 10pm, didn’t fall asleep until 1am (that 3rd afternoon latte got me), got up once during the night, finally waking/getting up at 6:30am.
Today’s plan was I would return the Tigo router to
Servientrega in Metro Sur mall then cross the street to Viva Envigado where I
would print some chess notes, look for gel heel pads at the zapateria and have
a latte in Urbania. Teresa wants us to have lunch in Santafe mall so
I’ll be sure to return in time for that.
I left the apt at 8:30 and walked to Metro Sur only to find the Servientrega store closed ☹ but around the corner I found this interesting storefront called Hobby’s House
whose sign says they will have their grand opening at 10am
on Saturday. When I went to take a photo of their sign is when I realized I
forgot to bring my cellphone; it’s recharging next to the computer. (The
screenshot I took later.)
I walked to the Servientrega office in the Las Vegas
complex and returned the router. The rep took my name, cedula number, email
address, and phone number and said he would send a receipt to my email address.
(Later I didn’t receive an email so he must have typed it wrong. ☹ ) I returned to the apt and Teresa was on her way
out to El Hueco to meet with a friend to buy more craft supplies. I exchanged a
few things and headed out again to Ganso y Castor for a latte. I left at
11:30 and returned to the apt.
Teresa wasn’t there when I saw live on the news the new Pope
being introduced, an American born in Chicago and most recently a priest in
Chiclayo, Peru. And he’s a White Sox fan!
I left at 12:30 and had my first Fat Burger in Fit and
Fat on Calle 31, around the corner from Parva. Their burger was
better than most I’ve had but the quality of ground beef in Medellin isn’t very
good. I would rather pay more for a good cut of ground beef but I don’t know
where I would find it.
After lunch I moved to the café Anamasté where I had
a latte. We had showers at 3:15 and 4pm and then a steady drizzle from 4:15 on.
That’s when I left and returned to the apt before it got more serious.
I finished watching Equalizer 3 (6.8) on Netflix. I
probably saw it in the movie theater but because a lot of the dialogue is in
Italian the subtitles would have been in Spanish and I would have been lost.
I watched some news on CNN then MSNBC.
It rained all evening and was still raining when I went to
bed at 10pm.
FUNNY

Terry, I have a Fatburger near me. The regular burger is $7.99, with fries and a drink $14.39. Prepare Teresa for sticker shock!!!
