Last night I took Diphenhydramine and Zopiclona tablets and went to bed at 10pm, waking/getting up at 5:30.
Teresa got up at 6:15 and made my breakfast. After breakfast
I returned to bed and easily slept for another hour.
I checked the battery on my new laptop and it’s down to 10%.
☹
I left the apt at 8:45 and found Smartfit busier than
usual, so busy I had to change the order of my workout trying hard to alternate
upper body exercises with lower body. I feel fine considering yesterday’s
strenuous walk but I didn’t want to be lame tomorrow so I skipped the treadmill.
I had a latte in Ganso y Castor (another new waiter,
I wonder if they’re having trouble keeping help) for an hour, stopped in Eduardo
Madrid but no bagels, and returned to the apt.
Since my daughter will be having the baby no later than next
Monday, I guess I can get serious about purchasing airline tickets. After
sharing this with her she reminded me that if they induce labor next Monday the
baby still may not come for a few days. ☹
I left the apt at 2pm and while having a latte in Los PorteƱos
(this time they weren’t playing rap music) I noticed Chris Cajoleas take a seat
at one of the furthest concrete tables and start smoking one of his trademark
cigars.
After a few minutes I paid for my coffee and joined him at
his table. We talked for at least 2 hours about football, health, tejo, and life
in general in Medellin. He has an idea for a new business but I don’t want to disclose
it here. Btw, he recently turned 55 years old and his Colombian wife is 40
years.
We left just before 6pm, he headed to Barrio Sur to
check on something and I stopped at Eduardo Madrid, lots of loaves of
bread but no bagels.
I settled down with my microwave popcorn and a small Coke
and watched my Chicago Bears lose a close one to the Minnesota Vikings 27-24.
Without the benefit of my pre sleep routine, I went to bed
and quickly fell asleep.
FUNNY
