Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly, slept through the night, waking/getting up at 6am.
This morning’s news mentioned that dust from the Sahara
has arrived in Colombia.
I sent Vickie in West Virginia my 2020 US federal tax
information.
I left the apt at 10am and walked to the mall. I had
some pages printed at Auros then had coffee at Todo Fresa. At
11:30 I left, bought a few groceries at Exito and returned to the apt by
taxi.
I was experiencing some internet connection issues but
after rebooting my router everything was good again.
I checkmated nejcik increasing
my rating 1 point to 1470.
I rescheduled my chess
lesson to tomorrow because Teresa wanted to go to Santafe mall. Instead, she
took a nap; sometimes her cancer drug just knocks her on her ass.
Teresa beat me in parcheesi
today 3 games to 1.
We finally hit the mid
80s in the afternoon.
We tried calling the
Peruvian restaurant Chiclayo multiple times to place an order but they
never answered. Finally, Teresa talked to Laura and I understand she placed an
order by Whatsapp. It arrived an hour later. (First time I’ve gotten a delivery
by a muchacho on a skateboard.) It was delicious; nice to have something
different for a change. I had the pollo saltado sin papas and Teresa had
seafood risotto.
I finished reading the
paperback Hannibal by Thomas Harris. I think the ending was different from
the movie; I’ll have to watch it again.

Joke of
the day
My wife and I
decided we’ll need a vacation once the world reopens. I taped a world map to
the refrigerator, gave my wife a magnetic dart, and said, “Wherever it lands is
our vacation spot!” Seems we’ll be spending two weeks behind the fridge.
