Last night I went to bed at 11:30, got up twice during the
night, finally waking/getting up at 7:30.
I left the apt at 9am and took a bus to Poblado. I made a withdrawal of 20s from my favorite
ATM, picked up 2 Capital One envelopes (garbage) and my November Reader’s Digest and paid my November box
rental at Envios Market. I bought a set of 3-ring binder indexes at Office Depot and had coffee at Starbucks. Laura sent me an acknowledgment that Teresa
has an appointment next Wednesday for her Colombian passport. I have to print that out later and make a
copy of her cedula. I was back at the
apt by 11am.
I left the apt at 2pm and walked to the mall. At Auros I printed Teresa’s passport
appointment and made a copy of her cedula.
At Todo Fresa I had a café con leche and read some from the book Juan
Castro loaned me. About an hour later I
was joined by Chuck and his son-in-law Walter.
They had bought a small couch for their balcony. We had drinks and then we walked together as
far as Parva. I bought a loaf of breakfast bread and a
pastry for each of us. They left and I
walked to Exito where I bought 2 bags of milk, a Coke and a package of
microwave popcorn for tomorrow’s game.
Laura sent me a photo of a dog breed – American Eskimo –
that they are thinking of buying. It’s
$1,500 so they are also looking at other options.
9,560 steps today.
Joke of the day
A guy fell asleep on
the beach for several hours and got horrible sunburn, specifically to his upper
legs.
He went to the
hospital, and was promptly admitted after being diagnosed with second-degree
burns.
With his skin already
starting to blister, and the severe pain he was in, the doctor prescribed
continuous intravenous feeding with saline, electrolytes, a sedative, and a
Viagra pill every four hours.
The nurse,
who was rather astounded, asked, "What good will Viagra do for him,
Doctor?"
The doctor replied, "It
won't do anything for his condition, but it'll keep the sheets off his
legs."
