Last night I went to bed at 11pm, quickly fell asleep and didn’t wake/get up until 7am.

We left the apt at 9am and arrived at Poblado station at 9:20.
Jeannie and JoAnn arrived a few minutes later.  We took the metro to Caribe station and walked to the North bus terminal.  We bought our tickets for the next bus for 15mil each.  Jeannie has a cold so Teresa went to the pharmacy and bought her some pills.  We got on the bus and it left5 minutes later.

Outside the small town of El Penol the bus was stopped by police.  All those standing up and all the men had to exit the bus.  A policeman checked all the ladies IDs inside the bus and then each man’s ID on his cellphone.  (Jeannie and JoAnn didn’t bring their passports but I guess the police were satisfied somehow.)  After that 15 minute delay we continued on into Guatape.  Right away we bought our return tickets for the 4:30pm bus back.

We had lunch at La Fogata restaurant and afterward Teresa said her food was cold and she doesn’t want to go there again in the future.
We took moto taxis to La Piedra (The Rock) for 10mil per moto.  (They only seat 2 passengers.)

Jeannie and JoAnn bought their entrance tickets for 18mil each and at 1:31 they were on their way.

Teresa and I sat in the shade by the exit so we wouldn’t miss them when they returned.  Teresa bought an obleas with arequipe and lechera that we shared and after that she had a tinto and I had a café con leche.

They came out 56 minutes after they left (and they rested on top) so I guess it took them about 20 minutes each way.

We checked out the souvenir stores then took motos back to Guatape.  We stopped at a café adjacent to the park where we had coffee and Teresa cooled down with a beer.  We also shared a small plate of freshly made churros.

We walked around a few streets checking out the paint jobs on the houses and arrived at the bus station at 4:20.  As soon as we got on the bus it left and we were back at the north terminal just after 6pm.
We took the metro to Poblado station then they got in a taxi back to their apt and we in one to ours.

We all took showers and decided we would meet at Mu at 8:30.

Teresa and I left at 8pm.  The driver seemed a little inexperienced but we arrived at Mu at 8:25.  Jeannie and JoAnn arrived 10 minutes later.  The place was pretty busy but we got a table right away.  It took longer than usual for our food but we all enjoyed the chips, the ribs, and the French fries.

We left about 9:30, Teresa and I quickly caught a taxi back to the apt and let the young ladies alone to explore Parque Lleras.

5,860 steps today.

Joke of the day
An Austrian maid asks her boss’ wife for a raise.
The wife asks why she thinks she should get a raise.
The maid replies that there are 3 reasons why she should.  The first is that she irons better than the wife.
The wife asks, “who said you iron better than me”?
The maid replies, “your husband said so”.
The wife replies, “oh yeah?”
The maid continues, “the second reason is that I am a better cook than you.”
The wife replies, “that’s a lie, who said you were a better cook than me?”
Maid: “your husband did.”
Wife, getting irritated: “oh he did, did he?”
Maid: “The third reason is that I’m better than you in bed.”
The wife, now really mad, asks through gritted teeth: “and did my husband say that as well?”
Maid: “No madam, the gardener did.”
Wife: “So…how much do you want?”
