Self-isolation Day 22.

Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly, got up once at 3:45, was awakened at 6:45 by a truck backing up accompanied by the usual yelling of “ele ele ele”, finally getting up at 7:30.

And on the “what did they know and when did they know it” topic, the Trump administration’s early notice is becoming clearer:

A memo by Peter Navarro, President Trump’s trade adviser, dated January 29th, is the highest-level alert known to have circulated inside the West Wing as the administration was taking its first substantive steps to confront a crisis that had already consumed China’s leaders and would go on to upend life in Europe and the United States.

“The lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on U.S. soil,” Mr. Navarro’s memo said. “This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans.”

I finished reading World War Z.  Usually when I see a movie based on a book, the book is better.  This time I thought the movie was better.  But they were so different it’s difficult to believe the movie was based on this book.  The only similarities I could see was the title and they both were about zombies.

The guy who’s renting our parking spot dropped off 90mil for April.

In an obvious attempt to deflect blame from his administration, Trump announces a freeze on US contributions to the WHO.  Like that will help the disease early warning system in the future.

Per the evening news the number of coronavirus cases has increased 1,184à1,406à1,485à1,579à1,780 with 146à150à172à183à209 in Antioquia.  Bogota has the most cases with 587à695à725à779à861.  A total of 46à50 of died.

Here is the breakdown by age (showing change):

Minors under 20: 45à57à69à75à77à85à97

20-40 years of age: 399à477à550à610à643à673à750

40-60 years of age: 304à355à428à473à507à541à617

Older than 60: 158à176à220à248à258à280à316

Sure doesn’t sound like Colombia has the virus under control.

Teresa can ask some stupid questions sometimes, like tonight, “why doesn’t China have any virus cases”?

I’m looking at the Johns Hopkins map trying to find a country that doesn’t have any virus cases.  I think I found one Democratic Republic of the Congo in South Africa.

Joke of the day

Me: *nervous giggle* Goodbyes are so awkward.  Like, do we just shake hands, hug or kiss or what?

Drive thru guy – please just take your food, sir.
