Last night I took a Zopiclona and went to bed at 10:30, got up several times during the night, finally waking/getting up at 7:30.

Last night I played 4 games on Chess.com, winning 1 and losing 3. Again, Yikes! My rating is now down to 1482.

Teresa is going to get her nails done today so either I meet her somewhere for lunch or I’m on my own.

I left the apt at 9am and walked to the mall. (At the stoplight I talked briefly with Herman.) I recycled a couple pill bottles then had coffee at Todo Fresa. I picked up a few things from Exito and returned to the apt by taxi by 11:15.

I watched a few more episodes of The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix. Juan Castro was watching it too and we traded a few comments by Whatsapp.

I don’t think Teresa got her nails done today. She mentioned that she may, or may not, go to the finca tomorrow to collect the rent.

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Friday went after Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), asking why anyone would vote for the Republican lawmaker just weeks before his hotly contested election.

Dobbs lashed out at the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman for “not subpoenaing the left-wing heads of the censorships Twitter and Facebook until after the election.”

“I don’t know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham. It’s just outrageous,” Dobbs said. “This is the guy who keeps saying, ‘Stay tuned.’ He said he would get to the bottom of Obamagate with the Judiciary Committee, which has been a year and a half, actually longer, of absolute inert response to these pressing issues of our day.”

Dobbs noted how Graham, now one of President Trump’s most vocal supporters, was criticized by the then-Republican presidential candidate during the 2016 election.

Trump called Graham “one of the dumbest human beings I’ve ever seen” and said the senator, who was running against him at the time in the GOP primary, “is a nut job.”

“I believe that the president’s words about the senator then apply today,” Dobbs said.

“Graham has betrayed President Trump at almost every turn,” Dobbs pressed. “He has betrayed the American people and his oath of office. He’s done absolutely nothing to investigate Obamagate except to tell everyone, ‘Stay tuned,’ time and time again. Stay tuned. Senator Graham needs to be tuned out in South Carolina.”

The United States broke its record for the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases reported in a single day on Friday, an alarming sign that what some epidemiologists are calling a “third wave” of infections is spreading at breakneck speed as winter approaches.

According to the New York Times, by the end of the day on Friday, at least 85,085 cases were reported across the country — about 10,000 cases more than the previous same-day high on July 16.

Public health experts have long warned that uneven compliance with social distancing guidelines, inadequate contact tracing programs, and premature reopenings of indoor venues were creating conditions for a resurgence of virus transmission after its summer peak, and that is what appears to be happening now.

I set up the Your Phone app on my android cellphone. Now I can access my cellphone from my laptop, for example, photos.

I beat Teresa in parcheesi today, 3 games to 2.

For dinner we ordered chicken from Frisby. There is enough chicken breast left over that Teresa will be able to use the meat to make lunch tomorrow.

Teresa wanted to watch a movie. She specifically mentioned Hard to Kill and I found Hard Kill (4.0) on Medellin TV which we watched and laughed about because it was so ridiculious.

The US has 8,378,778 ð8,498,283 ð 8,580,948 coronavirus cases with 222,100+ ð223,400+ ð 224,400+ deaths.

Per Medellin Guru, as of this afternoon Colombia has a total of 990,270 ð998,942 ð 1,007,711 cases with 30,000 deaths. Medellin has 86,141 ð 87,353 ð 88,401 cases, an increase of 1,069 from October 23rd to 24th. Envigado has a total of 6,1887 cases, an increase of 102 from October 23rd to 24th. New infections are increasing.

Joke of the day

Accordion to a recent survey, replacing words with names of musical instruments in sentences often goes ignored.

1 comment:

  1. Actually four out of fife readers seldom if ever notice it when names of musical instruments are substituted for words in a sentence.
