Last night I went to bed at 10:30pm, got up once at 5:15, finally waking/getting up at 7:15.

Last night I played 3 games on Chess.com, winning 1 and losing 2. My rating has now fallen to 1481.

I left the apt just after 8am. It was about a 5-minute wait for a bus. I arrived at Ganso & Castor at 8:30. I was alone as Glenn had to stay with his new dog and James was resting from their trip to Jardin last week. I had the bowl of aҫai berries with fruit and granola. The waitress helped me with the pronunciation (ah-sigh-ee) but I still don’t have it. I asked her if “ҫ” was Spanish and she said yes. I asked her what other Spanish word has “ҫ” in it but she couldn’t think of one.

I took a bus to Viva Envigado where I had a café con leche in Todo Fresa. I bought 3 bags of milk and returned to the apt via taxi.

I watched NFL football for the remainder of the day.

Australian scientists have found that the virus that causes Covid-19 can survive for up to 28 days on surfaces such as the glass on mobile phones, stainless steel, vinyl and paper banknotes.

The NFL shut down the New England Patriots' facility Sunday morning after COVID-19 tests revealed an additional positive result in the organization.

Despite the fact that the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 1 million people worldwide and over 212,800 in the United States — according to researchers at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore — many Republican supporters of President Donald Trump continue to insist that the threat is being exaggerated by the mainstream media. Journalists Francisco Alvarado and Kelly Weill, in an article published in the Daily Beast on October 9, take a look at a Florida retirement community in which the pandemic was widely regarded as a Democratic hoax — that is, until Trump himself was hospitalized after testing positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. And now, some of the retirees are worried about a visit from Vice President Mike Pence.

Bussa Krishna Raju, a farmer who "spent sleepless nights, starving and praying" for the United States President Donald Trump's recovery from COVId-19, died of cardiac arrest in Medak on Sunday.

According to his friends, Raju was shocked after Trump tested positive for the COVID-19.

A close associate said Raju was a die-hard fan of US President Trump. "He had installed a six-feet statue of the United States President Donald Trump last year and used to worship him."

"He was upset when he learned about Trump testing positive for the COVID-19. He spent sleepless nights, starved and prayed for the US President Trump's recovery for the past three-four days. He died of cardiac arrest today around noon."

An array of liberal Jewish groups signed a letter with other faith-based organizations appealing to senators not to confirm President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, citing her past opposition to the Affordable Care Act.

The letter, signed by 41 groups in all — and spearheaded by the National Council of Jewish Women — notes a case upcoming on the Supreme Court docket that could dismantle the act, also known as Obamacare.

Ronna Romney McDaniel, the chairperson of the Republican National Committee, on Sunday faced backlash after suggesting that “82% of Americans” make more than $400,000 per year.

In a tweet on Sunday, McDaniel pointed to a video clip from a conservative media group, which asserted that “middle income earners” will see a tax increase under a Joe Biden presidency. However, Biden has said that he will not raise taxes on individuals making less than $400,0000 per year.

“Joe Biden would raise taxes on 82% of Americans, and we cannot afford it!” McDaniel wrote.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's top infectious diseases authority, said Sunday that he was "taken out of context" in a new Trump campaign ad that features his comments "without my permission."

"In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed nor do I now endorse any political candidates," Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told NBC News in a statement. "The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials."

The ad, titled "Carefully," which was released Saturday, promotes President Donald Trump's response to the Covid-19 pandemic. It followed his discharge from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after he was stricken with the virus. In the ad, Fauci says in a clip that he "can't imagine that anybody could be doing more."

Joke of the day

After bob died, everyone gathered at his funeral. Then the minister started to speak: "He was a model husband, a decent man, a terrific father…"

The widow then makes a motion for her son to come to her.

"What is it mother?" he whispered.

"Dear, go check the casket, I think we're at the wrong funeral."

  1. Biden has said that he will abolish the Trump tax cuts. These tax cuts went to almost everyone that earned income. By abolishing these tax cuts, Biden will be raising taxes on almost everyone who earns income.

  2. On your joke of the day; I was actually at a friend's father's funeral where after the preacher gave a nice eulogy on the friend's father who the preacher did not know, my friend's sister got up and actually did do a rebuttal.
