Last night I went to bed at 10pm and slept through the night, finally waking/getting up at 6:30.
According to my Fitbit, I got in 1,454 steps yesterday and
last night I slept for 9 hours and 18 minutes for a sleep score of 81.
After breakfast I returned to bed and slept for a couple
more hours.
We left the apt at 12:15 and had the menu of the day in Otra
Parte.
Back at the apt we changed into nice clothes, for me that
meant long pants, long sleeve shirt, and uncomfortable shoes. Think warm!
We left the apt again at 2:15 and took a Didi to Parroquia
Santa Maria de Los Angeles in Poblado. We arrived a minute before the mass
started and sat in a pew in the back. (Right behind the row of 4 overhead
fans.)
The coffin was in the middle of the aisle and they had a 45-minute
mass followed by testimonials from Vicky’s children, Laura, Daniela and Manuel.
Outside there were lots of goodbyes and we ran into Esmeralda
outside. They wanted to get something to eat but I had only brought 20mil with
me as Teresa didn’t want me to bring my usual fanny pack or tech bag.
I ordered a Didi to take us to Sao Paulo Plaza and I guided
them down to Olivenza. I recognized a couple waitresses from my Sunday
morning breakfasts with Glenn and Teresa helped me by explaining to one of them
that my friend Glenn had died the previous Thursday.
We left at 6pm and returned to the apt by Didi.
