Last night I went to bed at 10pm, took a while to fall asleep, waking at 6am and getting up at 6:15. I think I slept through the night.

Outside in front of Ara I noticed a Caracol Radio truck and lots of cars parked on our side of the street.

The Transit police came by and blew their whistles but the owners of the cars didn’t seem to be in a hurry to move them.

I left the apt at 8:15 and that’s when I saw this sign outside Ara

Interesting! Is this a “going out of business” sale? Sure sounds like it.

I walked to the mall and withdrew 2 million pesos (all 50s) from the Davivienda ATM outside Exito. I tried using the nearby consignacion ATM but it was out of order. I bought some things in Exito and put them in the Dollar Store bag I carry with me. I went upstairs in the main part of the mall and paid the bills with their consignacion machine (only 1 person ahead of me). I withdrew another 2 million pesos (all 100s) from the Servibanca ATM then got in line in the bank to pay the apt rent.

Today I’m just paying June’s first of the month bills, next weekend I’ll pay the bills for July. After paying for the apt I went to pick up a deposit form for next month but didn’t see any. (I recall having this problem last month.) I asked a manager and she pointed where I had just been. I brought over the two forms and she pointed to one. It looks like they are switching to a free form style (that should be interesting for future first timers). The one on top is the old form and the one on the bottom is the new form.

I stopped in Dollar City and bought the box of Ziploc freezer bags that Teresa requested.

The other stores weren’t open yet so I went down to Urbania and had a latte.

I left at 10:45 and went upstairs and bought a new case for my cellphone for 45mil. (It’s red, not a color I’m crazy about, but we’ll probably be getting new cellphones soon.)

I returned to the apt by taxi and noticed a line outside Ara.

Teresa returned just after 12:30 and we took a Didi to Mama Panda in Laureles. I had arroz con pollo

and Teresa had their rice with shrimp and we each had a Coke. The check came to 110mil.

We took our time but then I ordered a Didi to return us to our apt. The driver texted me asking if it was okay if he had a dog with him. I mentioned this to Teresa (who is afraid of large dogs) and she seemed to be okay with it. I texted the driver (only then noticing our driver’s name is Jessica) telling her it’s no problem if the dog is friendly. When we got in the car there was a small white poodle sitting in the back. After a bit, the dog hadn’t moved and I used Google to tell Jessica I thought her dog is sedated and she laughed.

At one point I pointed to her screen and told her I haven’t driven a car in 12 years and asked what she uses it for and she told me it’s broken. Obviously, it can’t be very important.

When we drove past Ara we noticed a very long line outside.

I asked Teresa what she wants to do tomorrow and I got the usual response, “where do you want to invite me?”. I responded “Guatape” and she said that’s too far besides it’s a holiday weekend and traffic will be bad. I then suggested I have breakfast with Glenn and see a movie in the afternoon and she can spend the day with her mother and she agreed.

I watched another episode of Dept. Q on Netflix.

FUNNY
