Last night we went to bed at 10pm, I just couldn’t fall asleep (I guess I needed my Diphenhydramine (HCI)), had an awful night, finally getting up at 7am, making a trip to the bathroom and explained my problem to Teresa, returned to bed, finally getting up at 9am.
We left the apt at 10:30 and had breakfast in Sunrise
Grill on Touhy. When we entered I saw 6 ICE agents (1 woman and 5 men)
having breakfast in a side room. Teresa had their avocado toast and I eggs with
hash browns, bacon and pancakes.
I captured this over the shoulder photo as they were paying
their bill:
I drove us to Fashion Outlet of Chicago and Teresa
checked out all the stores. She didn’t buy anything but I bought a $20 t-shirt
at Finish Line and a $10 t-shirt at Puma.
I drove us to Bakers Square where we had a less than
memorable experience. Teresa had their chicken fried chicken plate and I had a
slice of apple pie (they were out of banana cream and coconut cream) with a cup
of decaf coffee for $32.08, including tip.
We drove past a church and I saw a couple ICE agents, one
taking photos of something.
We stopped in a Walgreens where I purchased a new
pill cutter (my old one broke a couple weeks before we left Colombia).
I heard on an oldies radio station that Chubby Checker will
be appearing at the Des Plaines Theater this Sunday, a theater we pass about
twice a day.
I stopped at a Chase Bank and withdrew $400 in cash.
(Later USAA refunded $3 of my $3.50 ATM fee. I guess the limit must be $10 a month.
We stopped in Oberweis Dairy in Park Ridge (paid 30
cents for 30 minutes parking) and we each had a scoop of ice cream for about
$11.
We returned to the apt for a rest but I wasn’t able to
sleep. Heard some rain as I was getting up.
Wow, Marcos called and I caught him up on what we’ve been up
to.
We left the apt at 7:15 and had soup again in Potbelly.
We walked across the driveway to Shop n Save where I bought groceries so
Teresa can soon make pasta. I also bought a $2 newspaper to read at breakfast
tomorrow.
I took my usual Zopiclona at 9:15 but this time added a
Diphenhydramine to ensure I get a good night’s sleep.
FUNNY
