Last night we went to bed at 9:30pm, took me maybe an hour to fall asleep, got up once at 5am, finally waking/getting up at 7:30am.

I’m thinking the Diphenhydramine might not work for me as intended because it isn’t scored for cutting in half because it only works as intended if it has time to get where it needs to be. Did that make sense?

It’s supposed to be hot today, 92 degrees, so we’ll be taking care of our store errands.

We left the apt at 9:30 and I drove us to First Watch again on Mannheim Rd. Our Mexican/Puerto Rican waitress spoke only a little Spanish but was a big help with Teresa’s order. Teresa had the avocado toast, two eggs over medium and a side order of link sausage (which she loved and wants us to buy in Pricesmart) and I had blueberry pancakes (Teresa had a bite and loved it and wants to make them from scratch now instead of using Bisquick). We both had coffee with refills and the check came to $34.47 and I tipped the waitress $7 in cash.

I drove us to Chicago Outlet Mall where Teresa bought (after a lot of trying) a pair of Nike shoes on sale for $57.30. In Puma I exchanged my ladies’ size large t-shirt for a men’s (turns out the women’s got mixed in with the men’s t-shirts, just my luck) without any problem.  I exchanged my t-shirt in Finish Line for 2 6-packs of very thin socks for the hot days (if they ever return) of Medellin and got $2.20 back in cash.

In Saks Fifth Avenue Teresa found a linen blouse for $52.91.

We left there and got caught in traffic by Rosemont theater. Lots of men walking in the area with long robes and beards. I finally found a bypass out of the area but ended up by the airport until Waze got me straightened out.

I stopped at Walker Bros Pancake House and confirmed they will be open on July 4th.

I stopped at Ace Hardware looking for small nightlights but was recommended to try Idlewood Electric Supply in Highland Park.

It was 2:30 and we were getting hungry so I drove us to Superdawg in Wheeling and I ordered 2 Superdawgs (no peppers) and a Pineapple malt for Teresa and Strawberry malt for me. Of course, she said her malt was too sweet and diluted it with some water. The total came to $37.06, including tip.

I drove us to River Trail Nature Center where we walked around a little until a little rainstorm hit. (It soon stopped.)

I drove us to Michaels where Teresa searched, unsuccessfully, for the proper size of glitter for her bracelets.

We returned to the apt by 5:15 and shared a can of soup.

The plan for tomorrow is to have breakfast at the Sugar Bowl in downtown Des Plaines, park the car in a Metro parking lot, take the train downtown, walk to the river and take a water taxi to Chinatown. We’ll check out Chinatown then reverse the process to return home. (The most challenging part will probably be parking the car in a valid space for 4-5 hours. I downloaded an app called Passport Parking that might facilitate the process. If anything goes wrong, we just postpone the trip to another day.)

I took my Zopiclona and a whole Diphenhydramine right before going to bed.

FUNNY
