Happy Mothers Day everyone!
I slept through the night last night. Doesn't happen very often but sure is pleasant when it does.
Even though it threatened to rain yesterday, it's the first day in quite a while that it hasn't.
At
Exito when they opened at 9am and purchased a month's supply of my
enlarged prostate medication - Tamsulosin - at their pharmacy for
40,500. Also bought a 600gm box of Fitness cereal for 14,400. So if it
lasts for 10 days, then that plus milk for 1,630 a day means that it
only costs me about 3mil per day for breakfast. On the other hand I can
get a nice hot breakfast at Bunuelo Express for 5,800.
On
the way to lunch It's similar to Mothers Day in America. Lots of cars
parked on the streets; restaurants full or near capacity; Laureles Mall
even has nice tablecloths covering their metal tables. Even live music: 2
electric guitars and 2 ladies singing. Nothing like eating a burger in
class. Lol.
2:30 I left Laureles Mall because it was
too crowded and too many people waiting for seats. At Viva! There's a
long line waiting to get into Lenos & Carbon. Watched a futbol game
for about an hour where they are demonstrating Direct TV. Had Pasta of
the Day at Alfredo's which happened to be lasagna!for only 6,900
I have a lead on a replacement laptop. One of the expats here has an extra and I may purchase it from him soon.
Good think you didn't have to bankroll dinner for the extended family.!
