Sunday, May 2, 2021

Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly, got up once at 3am, again at 6am, finally waking/getting up at 8am.

The one (only?) nice thing about being under lockdown that there is no noise on the street in the morning so you can sleep late.

At noon it’s only 78 degrees, more fitting for The City of Eternal Spring, and at least for me, more comfortable.

About 5:15 the rain started – a downpour.

Teresa beat me in parcheesi today 5 games to 0.

About 6:15 Teresa informed me she wanted to order from McDonald’s. Again it didn’t work with my debit card and I had to pay cash. I need to keep in mind that since the restaurant is so close our order usually arrives in just 20 minutes.

The US has 32,316,340 ð 32,374,488 ð 32,448,302 coronavirus cases with 574,700+ ð 575,600+ ð 576,600+ deaths.

Per Medellin Guru, as of this afternoon Colombia has a total of 2,859,724 ð 2,877,746 ð 2,893,655 cases with 73,720 ð 74,215 ð 74,700 deaths. Medellin has 267,007 ð 268,330 ð  269,737 cases, an increase of 1,406 from May 1st to 2nd. Envigado has a total of 22,916 cases, an increase of 74 from April 1st to 2nd.

Joke of the day

Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades. Over the years they had shared all kinds of activities and adventures. Lately, their activities had been limited to meeting a few times a week to play cards.  One day they were playing cards when one looked at the other and said, “Now don’t get mad at me. I know we’ve been friends for a long time, but I just can’t think of your name! I’ve thought and thought, but I can’t remember it. Please tell me what your name is.” Her friend glared at her.  For at least three minutes she just glared and glared.  Finally she said, “How soon do you need to know?”
