Happy Pi (π) Day!

Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly, got up once at 3am, again at 5:30, finally waking/getting up at 6:30am.

I left the apt at 8am and met Glenn with Bianca at the bus stop on Avenida Poblado. We took a taxi to Al Alma in the Provenza barrio of Poblado (Cl. 8 #35-37). They only had 6 outdoor tables but we had our choice as we arrived and service was very good. The problem was Glenn’s eggs were taste-less over toast instead of a bagel and my French toast wasn’t cooked thoroughly and was swimming in maple syrup. The good news is, with 2 coffees, it only cost 64mil.

We walked to Pergamino where we had another coffee, again with pretty much our pick of tables.

We left about 11am, walked 3 blocks north to Calle 10A where we quickly caught a taxi back to Envigado. They got off at Jumbo and I at McDonald’s as once again the Calle 30 turn was closed off for ciclovia.

I finished season 2 of The Crown (8.7).

About 2:30 some thunder could be heard nearby so I unplugged the TV and we soon had some showers.

I lost another game to nejcik who is rated 400 points lower. Sigh!

We were playing parcheesi and Teresa got a call when all of a sudden she jumps out of her chair like something bit her. It turns out Laura and Lenny were making a video call. Lol.

I beat Teresa in parcheesi today 4 games to 3.

Teresa suggested we go for pizza tonight and asked if we could bring her mother. I said, “sure”. Teresa called her but then notified me it was too cold so we just stayed home.

Joke of the day

I had joined an aerobics class made up mostly of older women like me. At first, it was difficult to follow all the steps, but after a few weeks I felt that I had a good grasp of the routines. One day, a fellow classmate stopped me to say, “I’ve been noticing you. You’re very coordinated.”

I couldn’t have been prouder.

“Thank you,” I said.

“Yes,” she continued, “your shirt matches your pants, and your pants match your socks.”
