Last night I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep quickly, got up once at 3am, finally waking/getting up at 6:15.
I think it rained pretty much throughout the night.
What I thought would take a few minutes to do a
Windows 10 update (20 H2) instead took a couple hours. It finally finished
about 10am and I left the apt. Walking past Los Portenos I heard a gringo
in shorts speaking English on his cellphone. I stopped at the Pasteur pharmacy
on Avenida Poblado where I bought some Vitamin C lozenges for Teresa. I had a café
con leche outside Parva for about an hour until the skies got a little too
dark for comfort. The gringo was still there outside Los Portenos so I stopped
and said “hi”. His name is Sam, he’s from Australia and he’s been in Colombia
10 years, most of that time in Bogota. I bought a dozen lemons (actually limes)
at the small grocery store and returned to the apt before any rain started.
Nejcik resigned another game increasing my rating to
1450. Michael resigned our game increasing my rating to 1452.
I had an hour nap after lunch.
I beat Teresa in parcheesi today 4 games to 3.
Teresa had a difficult 2nd day with her
cold but I’ve only got some slight nasal stuffiness.

Joke of
the day
At the
supermarket, a customer buying a lot of groceries was checking out. As the clerk
lifted the final bag, its bottom gave way, sending the contents crashing on the
floor. “They don’t make these bag like they used to,” the clerk said to the customer.
“That was supposed to happen in your driveway.”
