Last night I went to bed at 10pm, got up once during the night, couldn’t fall back asleep, looked at my watch and it was 3:45, got up and took another allergy pill. finally fell back asleep, waking/getting up at 6:45am.
I walked to the mall and Jose was waiting for me.
We had the breakfast special then went upstairs to the food
court.
I lost both games; I certainly wasn’t my best today.
He left and I went to order a sandwich from Q’Bano. I
was told it would take 30 minutes but I said, “no problem”. That’s when I
realized the place was packed to watch the Argentina vs Croatia soccer match. I
went down to the banking area where I made an ATM withdrawal, paid our
cellphone bill and went into Decathlon where I bought another pair of Quechua
pants. (I finally realized I don’t have to wait for a convertible to shorts
pair to become available. I already have a pair and that’s all I need for
travel purposes.) Back upstairs and I still had a 10-minute wait for my order.
I took it down to Todo Fresa where I ate it with a latte. I left a
little early because I wanted to beat the upstairs crowd to the taxis. I
stopped in Exito where I bought another box of man pads and a bag of Maizitos
for Bears games. I returned to the apt by taxi. For the second we passed the
new market next door it looked like they were setting up shelves in the aisles.
Argentina won 3-0 to advance to the championship match. This
could be Messi’s last chance to win a World Cup.
It’s 4:30 and there’s strong sun hitting my desk like I
haven’t seen for months.
For supper I ordered burgers from McDonald’s. I
tipped the delivery guy 5mil but we had a problem for a minute because he
needed a confirmation code and it took me a couple minutes to find it was on
Whatsapp.
A couple large trucks have backed up to the store entrance
and are apparently unloading product.
Last night I gave up reading The Bourne Identity; I
couldn’t keep track of the characters. Today I put on the movie (7.9) instead.
Today I got in 3,772 steps.
