We left the finca at 8:15 and got past the G-dogs
undetected. I saw a dead mouse on the
sideroad on the way down. At the highway
we saw workmen setting up forms to pour cement to guide the water away from the
shoulder of the road and down towards the creek.
We had to wait 15 minutes for a bus to Caldas.
We had breakfast at Aymará. I had my usual strawberry waffle with coffee
and Teresa had scrambled eggs, a chicken pastry and hot chocolate. We left with a large pan de queso and loaf of
bread for a total of 31,900 ($10.25).
Teresa stopped at a beauty salon where she got a quick trim
of her bangs for 2mil.
We picked up a month’s food supplies at Merkepaisa. We forgot to call Walter so we got another
man and another guy to take all our things.
He exited Caldas on a new road and came back into town further
south. Teresa got out of the car to pick
up the dog food and fell right on her knees.
The sidewalk in one section was 2 inches higher than another and she
tripped on it but she was okay.
The car had no trouble at all getting up the sideroad but
the driver didn’t want to drive down.
Between the 4 of us we managed to carry everything down in one
trip. On the way I gave both of the
black dogs a dog biscuit.
Among new US
movie releases I would like to see 10 Cloverfield Lane
(7.9) and River of Grass (6.2).
Locally, I would like to see Spotlight (8.2).
The Colombian Peso appears to have closed at 3,170 to the
dollar.
We started watching The
Culling (3.4).
T-shirt of the day: The 90’s were hotter.
