A heavy rain started about 1am so Teresa and I got up and unplugged the electronics.  Of course I took advantage of the opportunity and made a trip to the bathroom.

I got up once about 6am, finally waking/getting up at 9:30.  No barking dogs early this morning.

It’s a bit cooler today.  At 12:30 it was only 72 degrees with a slight breeze.  It almost never gets windy here, probably because we’re in a valley.

I went to do my monthly backup of my laptop files to my 2 different flash drives.  I successfully used the SanDisk flash drive to backup my documents.  I use the PNY flash drive to backup my photos.  When I tried to delete the old folder of photos it wouldn’t show me a “delete” option.  I tried reformatting the whole drive but it says it’s “write protected”.  I tried changing the Attributes of individual files from “Archive” and again it says the media is “write protected”.  Sigh!  I looked online and found some instructions using the Command line to change the attributes from Readonly but that didn’t work.  It might be time to buy a new flash drive or, because I don’t need the portability factor, another external hard drive.

I put together one of the under counter lights with 3 AAA batteries and installed it above one of my shelves.  Teresa thought that was the neatest thing and now will ask at Home Center if they have something similar for her shelves.  I don’t remember how much each one cost me but I remember thinking they were expensive – maybe just under $20 apiece.

I took my sleeping pills at 11pm and went to bed.
