We got up at 7am the next morning and skipped taking a shower. I reserved the room for another night and we had a simple buffet breakfast (included in the price) in the hotel dining room.
Laura called the airport but all she got was reservations
who told her to wait until she was contacted by someone that they have her suitcase. Forget
that!
We took a taxi to our “Relaxing, Beautiful Holiday Home” by
taxi, packed our few things, and returned to the hotel. (Not taking any chances
on being stranded by another flood as our cruise starts the next day.)
We took a taxi to the airport for €50 to an area where only Laura was allowed in and 2 ½ hours later she came out with her suitcase. This is the pharmacy where we waited for Laura to return:
It was now 5pm, had it been earlier we might have made a run to Plaka so she could see the area, but we just returned to the hotel by another taxi.
For supper we ate at a cute (and dry) outdoor restaurant named
Pezodromos where the ladies had anchovies and some other fish and I had this
chicken dish.
Next door to the hotel was a laundry so while the ladies did
some window shopping, I washed and dried a couple small loads of laundry.
Instructions were in Greek and English and it probably cost something like $15
for the washer, dryer, and laundry detergent but it was nice to have at least
clean underwear and t-shirts again.
