Recovery Day #21!

Last night I went to bed at 10pm, fell asleep quickly, woke up at 2:45, made it to the toilet, emptied my bladder a bit and changed ADs. I worked some on the computer, watched a little of The Handmaid’s Tale and returned to bed at 3:45.

I woke/got up at 8am, changed my AD, had breakfast, showered and left the apt at 9am. I met Glenn in Juan Valdez at 9:15. We chatted until a little after 10am. He left, I made an ATM withdrawal, printed some chess notes, picked up a few things from Exito and returned to the apt by taxi.

Glenn emailed the Click Clack Hotel about our problem getting in for breakfast and they said they were open and the security guard should have let us in. They apologized profusely and offered us a courtesy breakfast. I think we’re going to give it another try next Sunday.

On the afternoon news they showed Colombia’s new police uniforms, blue instead of green. Teresa asked, “what about the transit police with their blue uniforms?” I replied, “maybe they will change them to green.”

I finished season 1 of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Well, today was mostly sunny and we reached a high of 84 degrees.

Troyclough finally, after 48 moves, resigned our game increasing my rating to 1567.

Teresa talked to Dr. Castano’s secretary, and I have an appointment Wednesday at 3pm.

When I get up I feel I need to pee so I head to the toilet to try to go there but invariably I end up dripping on the back of my AD and having to change it. I guess I’ll give that up for a while.

The US embassy expects protest in Bogota and Cali tomorrow.

I beat Teresa in parcheesi today 6 games to 1.
