Recovery Day #6!
Happy Independence Day America! It’s the 245th
anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Last night I went to bed at 10pm, didn’t fall asleep
until after Teresa came to bed at 11pm, woke up a couple times during the night
finally waking/getting up at 6:30.
This morning I took my last Cerebrex anti-inflammatory
capsule and Keflext antibiotic tablet. Tonight I’ll take my last Bladuril
tablet that alleviates and prevents muscle spasms.
I had a nap before lunch and another after lunch.
Teresa made me a protein shake with all sorts of
healthful (ugh) things in it.
Since the day of my surgery, we’ve had beautiful weather
– highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s and I only recall once seeing a wet
street so I guess the rainy season is finally over.
I watched a few more episodes of the TV series Alone
(8.4) whose full title is Can You Survive in the Wild Alone? I then
watched a program America is Us on the History Channel.
Teresa wanted to order out for supper so we had Laura
in Chicago phone or test in our order to Chiclayo. Teresa called the
portero and he brought it to our door and Teresa tipped him 2mil.
I finished reading Susan Mallery’s Chasing Perfect
which seemed to end rather abruptly because my Nook said I was only 70% through
the book. Following the end was a short story called A Fool’s Gold Wedding.
Well, today was still a challenge but much better than
yesterday so hopefully yesterday was the nadir of my recovery.
