Recovery Day #5!
Last night I went to bed at 10pm. At first it was very
difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. I managed to get everything
in the right position, still took a while to fall asleep, switched positions
(left side, right side, back) during the night, finally waking/getting up at
6:30. I couldn’t linger in bed any longer as I had to get started with the
pills I have to take every 8 or 12 hours.
I had a 90-minute nap after breakfast and a 1-hour nap
early in the afternoon.
Now my incision site is the least of my worries. My
testicles have swollen to the size of oranges. The internet says this is normal
and in fact they can reach the size of grapefruits. Sure makes it difficult to
walk and to sit. Using the toilet is even more challenging but I managed to
have another BM in the afternoon.
Teresa shared with me that her friend Patricia has
Covid-19 as well as Jose Polanco one of her gym trainers.
I watched the 2 hour 18 minute The Tomorrow War
on Medellin TV then a couple more episodes of the TV series Alone.
Colombia
tied Uruguay 0-0 but CO won 4-2 on penalty kicks. I didn’t see the match (I’m
sure it was exciting) but there was extensive coverage on the evening news.
