We left the finca about 10:15 and took a bus to across the street from the entrance to Caldas.  After a 25 minute wait we finally caught a bus to a small town named La Pintada for 30mil.  It was about a 90 minute ride.  It was real hot there; Jim said his app showed it was 88 degrees.

We had lunch for 70,700 at Asados Dona Rosa, Jim and I walked around the town a little and then we caught the 3:30 bus to return.  On the way back there was an accident and we were backed up behind a lot of trucks.  The bus driver drove up a little on the opposite side of the road.  He talked to someone who said there was an accident ahead.  He backed up the bus and I thought he was just trying to get back in line but he backed up a side road and then drove forward and took us through the town of Santa Barbara.  We drove through the narrow streets until we came to a Caterpillar backhoe blocking the street.  It took him about 5 minutes to move out of the way and we were off again.  When we got back to the highway we moved quickly because all the trucks were probably still trapped behind the accident.  Later we were stopped again.  A truck blew a front tire and the police were there directing traffic around it.  We finally arrived outside Caldas after almost a 2 hour trip.

We stopped for drinks at Boulevard Bar in Caldas.  Jim and I went to the grocery store Consumo where I bought a large bag of Fab laundry detergent for 15,680.  Jim noticed a restaurant nearby named Casa Pamplona and we decided to have lunch there tomorrow.

A common method of delivery here.

Back at the finca I finally received the documents from the lawyer.  I copied the documents to my flash drive and then asked him if I could use the services of NotaryCam.com.  This is an online service where you can get US documents notarized without having them apostilled or having to deal with paper.

T-shirt of the day: You’re not my type.
